The Art Lab
We will use recycled plastic to create underwater worlds in water-filled jars or in peep boxes. The creative workshop is for children from 3 years in company with an adult friend.
On the highest floor of Röda Sten Konsthall you will find a laboratory, not any laboratory - but one in which art is mixed with science and with a little bit of madness! We experiment with color, shape and imagination. We experiment with the future, creating new exciting worlds and discovering animal species that don’t yet exist.
Saturdays The Art Lab is led by an art educator and starts at noon with a mini tour of the exhibition. Afterwards the creative workshop lasts until 3.30 pm.
During the rest of the week The Art Lab is open for those who want experiment on their own. There are mega puzzles, small experiments and other materials to try out!
The Art Lab is aimed for children from 3 years accompanied by an adult friend.
Theme: Future underwater worlds - filled with plastic?!
In the sea there’s floating lots of plastic. But this isn’t where it belongs! What does it look like under the water? Will the future animals be able to eat plastic? We will use recycled plastic to build underwater worlds in water-filled jars or in peep boxes.
The Art Lab is included in the exhibition entrance. SEK 40 for adults, SEK 20 for students, seniors and job seekers. Free up to 26 years old and for members of Röda Sten Konsthall Cultural Association.
